About

(an approximation)

I’m a seamstress.

I spend 60% of my time at the fabric store running textured ideas through my hands and buying by the yard. I spend 30% of my time in front of my sewing machine, stitching together thoughts until they fit just right. I spend 9% of my time coming up with convoluted analogies when a simple “I’m a writer” would do. And I spend 1% of my time devouring waffles.

A bout

(a wrestling match)

I want to author and abolish the dictionary.

Writing is a contradiction. It starts with hermitage, diving into an idea until it’s defined, enclosed, whole. It takes structure and rules and focus. And it ends with exploration, holding that prism up to the light to see how it refracts. It takes flexibility and abandon and imagination. I always seek to define. But only so ideas know exactly how they can be free.

A b o u t

(really spelling it out)

I’m a senior copywriter who defines and realizes brands.

I write verbal identities and verbal brand guidelines, architect and message web and mobile experiences, concept and script videos, and name the occasional company. All my SEM people out there breathing a huge sigh of relief finally seeing some SEO terms.
